TUBAF is a small, specialised university with around 4,000 students. It is divided into 6 faculties:
- Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science

The manageable size allows for personalised support and a familiar environment.
The most important thing is that your child is interested and curious about the subject area.

Freiberg offers affordable housing options:
- Student halls of residence of the Studentenwerk (cheap & close to campus)
- shared flats or own flats in the city (e.g. SWG Freiberg, WG Freiberg)
Average rent approx. 250-350 euros per month.
The costs of studying at TUBAF are comparatively low. The semester fee is around 100 euros per semester. The costs for housing and living in Freiberg are also low compared to other cities.
There are several options for financing your studies:

- Part-time jobs at the university, in the city or in industry

Freiberg is a small, quiet university town - ideal for starting out in independent life. The campus is well connected to the city. Everything is within walking distance.
